This specimen was lot 3047 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, 50 pfennig, 1919-A, an incredible example, PCGS graded PF67 Cameo." This type was type struck 1919-22 at six mints (Berlin is shown here) in the aftermath of defeat in World War One. It is one of the first aluminum coins issued for circulation.
Recorded mintage: 7,173,000, a fairly common date.
