This specimen was lot 777 in Aureo sale 261 (Barcelona, July 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"1682. Italia. Génova. SM. 1 escudo. Rara. EBC-. (Republic of Genoa, scudo of 1682. Rare, about extremely fine.)"
The republic of Genoa simultaneously struck scudi stretti, scudi largi (shown here), and double scudi. This type is listed for 1649-1719 tho not struck every year.
