This specimen was lot 5023 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,651 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN, GENUA Republik (Dogi Biennali), 1528-1797. Scudo stretto 1674, Genua. Mit Münzzeichen ILM auf der Rückseite. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung MS 63 (Top Pop) (2727350-002). Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Feine Patina, winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Italy, republic of Genoa, biennial doges, 1528-1797, scudo stretto of 1674, Genoa mint, with initials ILM on the reverse. Graded MGC MS-63, "Top Pop", rare in this quality, choice example, fine patina, minor edge flaw, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1637-56, 1661-76, 1679-1705, 1712-21 and 1725. In addition to ILM (Johannes Lucas Maiolus), mintmaster initials GLM and GM (both standing for Giovanni Lucas Maiolus) are also noted for the year.
