This specimen was lot 3074 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Genoa. 1/2 Doppia, 1563. NGC MS-61. WINGS Approved. Boldly struck on a nearly straight lustrous flan. Minimal bagginess in fields but with no loss from wear or handling. Exceptional for the type and quite attractive."
