Sincona sale 91, lot 3266

This specimen was lot 3266 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,907 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 15 Sols 1635, Genf. Mzz. PM (ligiert). Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Kleiner Randfehler. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, fifteen (sic) sols of 1635, Geneva mint. Very rare, Very fine, Minor edge flaw.)"

This rare type was struck 1635 only. It is a twelve sols, not a fifteen sols, as can been seen in the exergue.
