Sincona sale 91, lot 3241

This specimen was lot 3241 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1577, Genf. Mzz. G. Selten. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Numismatica Genevensis 18, Genf, November 2022, Los 2108. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, Geneva mint. Rare, Very fine.)"

This type was struck nearly continuously 1554-94. Numista does not mention the mintmark clearly visible here. One thaler was 96 sols.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 4.0 g, billon, 26 mm diameter, this specimen 2.70 g.
