This specimen was lot 58464 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Gelderland. Daalder, 1557. Philip II. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, EF Details." Gelderland was in the heart of the United Provinces. This philipsdaalder has the date inverted. The previous issue, Dav-8491, had the date right side up. The next issue deleted "ANG Z" from the king's titles after his wife, Mary Tudor of England, died.
