This specimen was lot 2925 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRIEDBERG: Franz Heinrich von Dalberg, 1755-1776, AR 20 kreuzer, 1766, once lightly cleaned and retoned, AU, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." Franz Heinrich von Dalberg (b. 1716) was the burggraf of Friedberg, not to be confused with Karl Theodor Anton Maria von Dalberg (1744-1817), archbishop of Mainz and grand duke of Frankfurt. The Burgravate of Freidberg passed to Hesse in 1802. Its coinage is generally rare.
Recorded mintage: unknown but quite scarce.
