This specimen was lot 6090 in Sincona sale 81 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$60 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND | Freiburg/Fribourg | Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1830, Freiburg. About uncirculated." This is the last of the denomination issued by this canton. Forty batzen made a thaler. The last cantonal issue was a 2½ rappen of 1846 (KM 91). All cantonal issues ceased upon confederation in 1848.
