French Indochina 1921-A cent

from the Stack's Bowers 2025 ANA sale, lot 46635

This specimen was lot 46635 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, FRENCH INDO-CHINA. Centime, 1921-A. Paris Mint. NGC MS-64 Red." This type was struck 1908-31, 1937-39 for French Indochina, a region of southeast Asia now comprising Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. This is a common date. The San Francisco and Poissy mints added more in 1920-23; these lack the "A" mintmark.

Recorded mintage: 14,272,000 plus 1,710,000 from San Francisco.
