This specimen was lot 22159 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $122. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRENCH GUIANA. 10 Centimes, 1846-A. NGC MS-63." France issued coinage for her colonies only sporadically during the nineteenth century. Ten centimes were issued for French Guiana in 1818 and 1846 only at a time when no base metal coinage was being minted in France. This type is not expensive in the SCWC but is seldom seen.

Recorded mintage: 1,400,000.
