This specimen was lot 20566 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Frankfurt. Freie Reichsstadt. Ducat, 1658. Leopold I (1658-1705). NGC EF-45. Coronation of Leopold I as Holy Roman Emperor. All-Seeing Eye over arms holding scepter and sword, crowned globe, 'CONSILIO ET INDVSTRIA', By Industry and Counsel; Reverse: Cherubs support Crown of Charlemagne over 6-line coronation inscription, 1 August 1658. Featuring a highly elaborate and attractive design with a little wave in the planchet, but designs that remain intricately executed." A rare one year type.
