Stephen Album sale 50, lot 954

This specimen was lot 954 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $3,120. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANKFURT: Free Imperial City, AV ducat, ND (1711), medallic issue for the Coronation of Charles VI as Holy Roman Emperor in Frankfurt, a lustrous nearly mint state example, PCGS graded AU58, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." The SCWC mentions a Frankfurt ducat for 1711 (KM 172) but not this one. At least two double ducats (Fr-989 and Fr-990) were also struck for this occasion.
