Jean Elsen sale 151, lot 1617

This specimen was lot 1617 in Jean Elsen sale 151 (Brussels, June 2022), where it sold for €400 (about US$500 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Cinquième République (1959-), AV 50 euro (1/4 oz), 2020. Bataille d'Angleterre - Spitfire. Ecrin et certificat. Flan poli. (France, Fifth Republic, since 1959, gold 50 euro of 2020, Battle of Britain, Spitfire fighter. With box and certificate, Proof.)"
