This specimen is a common date of a type struck at the Paris mint for France 1965-2001. Some of the later dates, such as 1979-82, 1988-90 and 1998-99, are only available from FDC sets. This type was accompanied by a similar one franc. All were demonetized with the coming of the euro in 2002.

Recorded mintage: 80,001,436.

Specification: 4.5 g, nickel, 19.5 mm diameter, reeded edge (regular issue).
