This specimen was lot 47017 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Bearn. 2 Louis d'Or, 1762. Pau Mint; mm: Cow. Louis XV. PCGS Genuine--Ex Jewelry, EF Details." This is a common date of a common mint for this type, which was struck at that Pyrenean mint 1742-70.

Recorded mintage: 29,474[2].

Specification: 16.31 g, 0.917 fine gold, reeded edge, 28-29 mm diameter, designed by J.-C. Röettiers.
