This specimen was lot 1312 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Louis d'or au bandeau, 1745/4-N (Montpellier). Louis XV. Mintage 10,410. The only example graded at PCGS. PCGS graded VF-35." The louis d'or au bandeau was introduced in 1740 and was struck at all the mints. Most dates of this type by the Montpellier mint are rare, as is this one. The overdate is unlisted.

Specification: 8.15 g, 0.917 fine gold, 24 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by J. C. Röettiers.
