This specimen was lot 1290 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Louis d'or aux lunettes, 1733-H (La Rochelle). Louis XV. Mintage 16,178. NGC graded AU-58." The louis d'or aux lunettes was introduced in 1726 and was struck at all the mints until 1740. This product of the La Rochelle mint is somewhat common.

Specification: 8.15 g, 0.917 fine gold, 24 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by J. C. Röettiers.
