This specimen was lot 1150 in Jean Elsen sale 121 (Brussels, June 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE, Royaume, Henri II (1547-1559), AV double Henri d'or, 1551 (sur 1550) B, Rouen. 1er type. Droit: B. cuirassé à droite. Revers: Croix formée de quatre H couronnés, cantonnée de deux croissants et deux lis. Différent: calice en fin de légende (Nicolas De Lisle). Avec point 15e au droit et au revers. Très Rare. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of France, Henry II (1547-59), gold double henri d'or of 1551, Rouen mint, first type. Obverse: armored bust to right; reverse: cross formed of four crowned "H's", with two crescents and two lilies in the fields. Privy mark: chalice. Very rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck at Rouen for Henry II 1550-58. It had a face value of one hundred sols tournois or five livres tournois. It is the first type, with a bare head (not laureate) and lilies and crescents on the reverse.
