The coinage of Finland was reformed in 1963, with 100 old markkaa = 1 new markka. This specimen was lot 1573 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "FINLAND: Republic, AV 1000 markkaa, 1992, 75th Anniversary of Independence, PCGS graded MS69."
Recorded mintage: 35,000.
Specification: 9 g, 0.900 fine gold, 22.1 mm diameter.
