This specimen was lot 2501 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $78. The catalog description[1] noted, "Finland. Penni, 1916. PCGS graded MS-65 Red." This type was struck 1895, 1898-1916 and the 1916 is the most common date. Other denominations for 1916 include five, ten, 25 and 50 penniä. In 1917, the Finns declared independence from Russia and successfully defeated Russian attempts to reconquer the country.
