Sincona sale 99, lot 411

This specimen was lot 411 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas II. 1894-1917, 1 Penni 1901, Helsinki Mint. Mintage for Finland. FDC, Etwas fleckig, Mint State, Some spots."

This is a fairly common date of a type struck 1895, 1898-1916 for Nicholas II. The prior type varied only in the imperial monogram.

Recorded mintage: 1,520,000.

Specification: 1.26 g, copper, 15 mm diameter, this specimen 1.32 g.
