The first specimen was lot 3556 in Goldberg sale 62 (Beverly Hills, February 2010), where it sold for $690. The catalog description[1] noted, "Finland. 10 Markkaa, 1879-S. Alexander II of Russia. Crowned eagle. Reverse: Value. NGC graded MS-66." The second specimen was part of lot 50096 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $417. The catalog description[2] noted, "FINLAND. 20 Markkaa, 1912-S. NGC MS-65." This type is listed for 1879-82 and was struck to the standard of a French gold ten francs.
