This specimen was lot 6781 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "FINLAND. 10 Markkaa, 1878-S. Stockholm Mint. Alexander II of Russia. NGC AU-55. A boldly struck one-year type, with frosty luster remaining in portions of the fields." This type is listed for 1878 only and was struck to the standard of a French gold ten francs.
Recorded mintage: 254,000.
