This specimen was lot 74612 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "FALKLAND ISLANDS. 25 Pounds, 1986. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-65 Deep Cameo. Struck to commemorate the royal wedding of Prince Andrew and Lady Sarah." The marriage of Prince Andrew and Lady Sarah was promoted as a glamourous event second only to the marriage of prince Charles and lady Diana in 1981. It also collapsed in divorce in 1996 and Andrew was later disgraced in 2020 as part of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
