This specimen was lot 70672 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "ESTONIA. 15.65 Krooni, 1999. NGC PROOF-64 Cameo. Struck to commemorate Estonia's Euro Equivalent, hence the unusual denomination. A flashy Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This NCLT was issued in 1999 to promote Estonia's bid to join the euro. Estonia was not admitted until 2011.

Recorded mintage: Est. 5,000.

Specification: 1.73 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.050 troy oz AGW.
