This type was struck 1998-2003 and 2006 for Estonia, one of the Baltic States. All were made in Finland, except for the 2006, which was struck at Utrecht. All dates are common. The coin was demonetized in 2011, when Estonia adopted the euro at the rate of 15.6466 kroon/euro.

Recorded mintage: 15,000,000.

Specification: 5 g, Nordic gold (89% Cu-5% Al-5% Zn-1% Sn), 23.25 mm diameter, segmented reeded edge.
