This specimen was lot 2807 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "ESTONIA: Republic, AR 100 krooni, 1996, Atlanta Olympics-Nike Crowning Wrestler, NGC graded Proof 68 Ultra Cameo." The kroon was introduced in 1992 after Estonia regained her independence from the collapsing USSR. It was used until Estonia was admitted into the euro zone in 2011. The proofs of this NCLT turn up more often than the so-called business strikes.
Recorded mintage: unknown plus 10,000 proofs.
