Künker Auction 441, lot 4223

This specimen was lot 4223 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €900 (about US$1,238 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ERFURT, STADT Reichstaler 1618. Seltener Jahrgang. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar des Spezialangebots Fritz Rudolf Künker, Oktober 2002, Nr. G 240. (city of Erfurt, thaler of 1618. Rare date, very fine to extremely fine.)"

The town was occupied by the Swedish army 1631-48 during the Thirty Years War and issued many coins during that time.
