This specimen was lot 7 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,000 (about US$1,292 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Erfurt, STADT Reichstaler 1617. Hübsche Patina, min. Glättungsspuren, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Erfurt, thaler of 1617. nice patina, some tooling, very fine to extremely fine.)"
Several varieties of thalers are listed for this date (Dav-5258, -5259, -5260, -A5259, -5262). Later issues are all rare.
