This specimen was lot 22456 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "EQUATORIAL GUINEA. 7000 Francos, 1992. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate Endangered Wildlife, featuring Lions. Brilliant with hard mirror fields and frosted cameo devices." Equatorial Guinea joined the CFA franc in 1985 but continued to use francos for her NCLT's. This commemorative was accompanied by a silver 15,000 francos (KM 79) and a gold 15,000 francos (Fr-24).

Recorded mintage: 450 proofs.

Specification: 7.77 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.2234 troy oz AGW.
