This specimen was lot 22455 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "EQUATORIAL GUINEA. 15000 Francos, 1992. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Endangered Wildlife series. An absolute gem from a mintage of just 450 pieces. With intensely mirrored surfaces, this design features an elephant and her calf." Equatorial Guinea joined the CFA franc in 1985 but continued to use francos for her NCLT's. This commemorative was accompanied by a silver 15000 francos (KM 79) and a gold 7000 francos (Fr-25).
