This specimen was lot 73262 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "EQUATORIAL GUINEA. 200 Pesetas Guineanas, 1970. Italian (Numismatic Italiana) Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Serial number #3470. Commemorating the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. Featuring a hint of burnished color near a portion of the peripheries, this soccer-themed issue resides at the cusp of perfection, with intense brilliance and frosting." This type was struck for Equatorial Guinea to honor the World Cup of soccer. It is one of a series struck in Italy ranging from 75 pesetas to 5000 pesetas. Circulating coinage from the country is hard to find. A variety exists (KM 18.2) with the fineness stamped into the reverse.

Recorded mintage: 4,200 proofs.

Specification: 40 g, 0.999 fine silver, 52 mm diameter, reeded edge.
