This specimen was lot 47337 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1563/2. London Mint; mm: Pheon. Elizabeth I. NGC AU-55. Overdate variety. Obverse: Crowned bust left; Reverse: Square-topped coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee." This type is listed for 1561-66, of which the pheon mintmark was used 1561-65.
