This specimen was lot 75414 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, ND (1584-86). London Mint; mm: Escallop. Elizabeth I. PCGS EF-45. Sixth issue. Obverse: Crowned and mantled bust left; Reverse: Coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee. From the Richard August Collection." This undated type, actually a halfgroat, not a sixpence, was struck 1582-89 with the scallop mintmark used 1584-86. The sixpences of the period had dates.
