The first specimen was lot 32020 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2022), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Angel, ND (1502-04). London Mint; mm: greyhound's head. Henry VII. NGC VF-20. Group IV. Obverse: St. Michael standing facing, head right, spearing dragon to lower right with spear topped by cross crosslet; Reverse: Ship bearing shield and cross; ? and rose flanking cross. Some heavy die wear and rusting are noted, but this evenly handled specimen nevertheless retains rather clear details and most of the legends still discernable. From the Augustana Collection." The second specimen was lot 1053 in Sincona sale 79 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 2,400 CHF (about US$2,877 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN | Königreich, Henry VII. 1485-1509. Angel n. d. (1502-1504), Tower Mint. Class III. New type, Angel with both feet on dragon. Mintmark greyhound's head. NGC AU Details. Lightly cleaned." This angel was tariffed at six shillings and eight pence (one third of a pound). Many varieties and mintmarks exist for Henry VII.

Specification: 0.995 fine gold, 80 grains (5.18 g). The second specimen is 5.10 g.
