This specimen was lot 6585 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $208.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "PLANTAGENET. John. 1199-1216. AR Penny. Short Cross type, class Vc. London mint; Abel, moneyer. Struck in the name of Henry II, 1207-circa 1210. Crowned bust facing, holding scepter / + ΛBЄL · ON · LV(ND)Є, voided short cross with small crosses in angles. Toned. VF. From the Sidney W. Harl & Kenneth W. Harl Collection, purchased from York Coins, February 2009. Ex R. Carlyon-Britton Collection."
