This centavo was minted for El Salvador 1921-72. The issues dated 1921, 1925, 1940, 1951 and 1952 were produced at the San Francisco Mint. This is a scarce date but not particularly valuable in the condition shown. On the obverse of the coin is the image of Francisco Morazán, who defeated Guatemalan attempts to conquer Central America, thereby establishing Salvadoran independence.
