El Salvador 1914 25 centavos

This type was struck at Philadelphia 1914 only. It is fairly common in circulated condition and is accompanied by silver five and ten centavos. A variety exists with "15 SET DE 1821" obverse legend instead of the "15 DE SEPT DE 1821" shown here but the SCWC awards it no premium.

Recorded mintage: 1,400,000 circulation strikes plus 20 proofs.

Specification: 6.25 g, 0.835 fine silver, .167 troy oz ASW.
