This type was struck for El Salvador 1892-1914. It is fairly common in circulated condition and is accompanied by silver five, ten, twenty and fifty centavos. This specimen was lot 72133 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. Peso, 1895-CAM. NGC MS-62. Provenance: From the Richard Stuart Collection."

Recorded mintage: 2,161,700, a common date.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .723 troy oz ASW.
