This specimen was lot 22275 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 100 Pounds, AH 1404 (1984). NGC PROOF-69 ULTRA CAMEO. Cleopatra VII. One of the better 100 Pound types with only 2,121 struck. An immaculate example with no spots, tone or fog." This type is one of a series of commemorative hundred pound gold coins issued 1983-92.

Recorded mintage: 2,121.

Specification: 17.15 g, 0.900 fine gold.
