This specimen was lot 23421 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 10 Kroner, 1972-SB. Copenhagen Mint. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo. Variety without denomination. Struck to commemorate the death of Frederik IX and the accession of Margrethe II. This VERY RARE and enchantingly toned specimen features a burnished rose tone and great detail, along with an alluring cameo appeal. NGC has graded just one finer in the population figures." Margrethe was queen of Denmark until her abdication in January 2024.
