Denmark 1967-CS 10 kroner
This specimen was lot 23420 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 10 Kroner, 1967-C S. Copenhagen Mint. NGC PROOF-67 Ultra Cameo. KM-856. Struck to commemorate the wedding of Princess Margrethe, this type is VERY RARE in proof, with no mention of this finish even listed in the Standard Catalog. Exceedingly brilliant and frosted, with a great cameo nature." Another wedding commemorative was issued in 1968 (KM 857). Princess Margrethe became queen Margrethe II in 1972, on the death of her father, and still rules her domain (August 2022).
