This type was struck in 1958 to mark the eighteenth birthday of Princess Margrethe, who would become queen on the death of her father in 1972. Altho the regular issue (KM 838.2) was aluminum bronze, the mint returned to silver for this commemorative, which is common in all grades.
Recorded mintage: 301,425.
Specification: 15 g, 0.800 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
