Steve Album sale 54, lot 2438

This specimen was lot 2438 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $264. This type was struck 1846-48 and is rather scarce. The death commemorative of 1848 (Dav-75) appears quite a bit more often, suggesting that it was saved.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
