Denmark 1763-HSK 8 skilling
This specimen was lot 10357 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €288 (about US$300). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 8 Skilling, 1763-HSK. Frederik V. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. Three different monograms exist on this one-year type. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1763 only. It was the first issue of this denomination since 1730 and the last until 1773. Varieties exist in the style of the monogram (KM 595, KM 596, KM 597) but all are rare. Eight skilling was 1/12 speciedaler or one-eighth krone.
