This specimen was lot 6713 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "CYPRUS. 9 Piastres, 1921. George V. PCGS AU-58. This pleasing example of the type exhibits abundant satiny luster and mottled gray to almond toning." This silver nine piastres was struck during the reign of George V, king of Great Britain 1911-36. Tho denominated in piastres, it is the same size and weight as a British shilling. Two other dates, 1913 and 1919, exist.
