This specimen was lot 56050 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA. 5 Centavos, 1961. Philadelphia Mint. NGC MS-65. Ex: Emo Collection." This denomination was introduced in 1915 along with the other Cuban denominations, from one centavo to twenty pesos. This subtype was struck 1946, 1960-61, and is very common. It was superseded by an aluminum type (KM 34).
