This type was struck in the United States for Cuba in 1916-20 and 1948-49 using dime blanks. The type is common today. The issue was accompanied by a silver twenty centavos, forty centavos and one peso issues. The 1949 is the most common date.
Recorded mintage: 5,120,000.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .072 troy oz AGW, 18 mm diameter.
