This specimen was part of lot 22209 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), which sold for $223.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA. 2 & 5 Centavos, 1915-60. NGC MS-63 to 64 & AU-55. ICG MS-64. KM-11.3 & A10. 7 pieces in lot. Includes: 2 Centavos: 1915 (2, NGC MS-63 & ICG MS-64), 1916 (2, MS-64 & AU-55); 5 Centavos: 1946 (2, both M-S63) & 1960 (MS-64)." This denomination was introduced in 1915 along with the other Cuban denominations, from one centavo to twenty pesos. This subtype was struck 1946 and 1960-61, and is very common.

Recorded mintage: 40,000,000.

Specification: 5 g, copper-nickel, 21 mm diameter.
